Take Action to Kick Start the LOA

Films like 'The Secret' and many other similar offerings are very misleading, and can do the truth about 'LOA' a great disservice. They conjure up images of effortless gain - of money and things falling magically into the arms of anyone who will just take the time to envision the life they want every day, and try to feel the emotions that this new life will generate.

But the fact is that although coincidences and serendipitous events will indeed sometimes bring about desired changes, in many cases there is simply no available 'route for delivery' - no mechanism the Universe can use to provide what is wanted.

As an extreme example, imagine an unemployed 16 stone couch potato who spends his days playing on his computer or watching daytime TV in a darkened room and drinking beer. One day, he learns about the Law of Attraction and becomes excited. So he spends ten minutes every day imagining himself weighing 11 stone and swimming in the pool of his huge lakeside villa and admiring the BMW Z4 car parked on his sweeping driveway. And having done that, he flops back and pops another can of beer in front of the TV.

So, does the money he wants arrive mysteriously in a brown parcel? Does someone knock on the door to tell him that an unknown but very rich relative has died and he has inherited the house of his dreams and a huge bank account? Well these things are possible, but they are so unlikely that they would be near miracles. And one thing that few people understand about LOA is that the Universe does not do miracles to order.

What actually happens when deliberate manifestation is 'working' is that a series of developments take you step by step to your goal.  Each step may be fairly unlikely, but individually will fall far short of the miraculous. It is only when all the steps are viewed together that is easy to see the reality-shifting power of LOA - in retrospect. But for these things to happen, the chance meetings, the new opportunities and the unexpected developments, you must be engaged with life in as many ways as possible. You need to meet or communicate with the people who will be instrumental in making things happen, and you need to provide the openings through which change can come.

This is particularly true of the number one goal of most people who set out to use the Law of Attraction - the creation of personal wealth. Our couch potato simply has not provided any means by which wealth or any of his other desires can be delivered to him, so the only routes left are essentially miracles - which could take a very long time to materialize. In reality of course, because he will probably see no results from his efforts at using LOA within a week or two, he will simply quit, dismissing the whole idea and returning to his pointless existence.

The bottom line is therefore quite simple. If you are using LOA principles to bring wealth into your life, you also need to provide a channel or channels through which this wealth can flow. This means exploring opportunities and stepping outside your 'comfort zone' by actually taking steps to build some kind of business or contact network that can work for you.

It doesn't even have to be the exact 'right' business or organization, and you may well not see any returns immediately - but just taking action can be enough to begin the process of change. The important thing is not what you do, but the simple fact that you will have done something to help yourself. By doing this, you will have started a process that moves you beyond the horizon of your present experience. You will have added a new dimension to your life - one that can grow, with the potential to carry you wherever you want, or lead in exciting new directions.

The law of attraction can and will bring you what you want - but always remember that you need to do your bit to get the engine running.
