“As soon as I received my user name and password I opened the Manifest Life portal URL and logged onto the welcome page. This outlines how to use the site and also provides a couple of short audio introductions. The user is invited to read a preface, a prologue, and then some pages about the webmaster’s (Barry Goss) life story, before going to the main content pages.
But with all due respect to Barry Goss, when the kids arrive at the chocolate factory, they don’t really want to listen to the manager’s speech about the company’s history! I skimmed quickly through the intro stuff to make sure I wasn’t missing anything essential and dived in, with a mental note to read the introductory material fully - later! (I suspect that is how most new members will behave).
So what is in the Portal site?
The Manifest Life site consists of a series of pages from which the user can access a large and continuously growing collection of videos, audio recordings which can be streamed or downloaded, articles, ebook downloads and links to more relevant stuff. All of these have the common theme of 'manifesting' what you want in your life using the principles of the Law of Attraction.
Navigation through the site is made easy by the simple menu bar that is always visible at the top of the page. The introductory material suggests that the user should progress from left to right along the menu bar, absorbing information in a reasonably structured way, but of course (as I said earlier) the overwhelming temptation is just to jump around the site more at less at random to discover all the goodies on offer. There are sections containing a mixture of articles, video recordings of various well-known self-help personalities in action, recordings of conversations, downloadable meditation MP3s, ebooks and articles, and you can even help yourself to treasures such as an audio version of Leslie Fieger’s incredible ‘Delfin System’ (in my view this is worth the cost of admission to Manifest Life on its own).
The simplicity of the top navigation bar is deceptive, because each page opened has a load of further choices to explore, and even these often branch off into further choices of downloads, online reading or streamed audio and video content. One tip I quickly discovered is that while you are listening to streamed audio content, you can log in a second time from a new window and use the second window to continue exploring while the audio playback continues from the first window. The number of choices genuinely is quite overwhelming, but of course with a 2-year membership, you have plenty of time to explore and become familiar with the structure and content of the site.
Some of the most interesting material is in the sections which come under the general heading of ‘Conversations’. These are streamed/downloadable recordings of Barry Goss interviewing a number of well-known names in the self-help field, and prompting them to summarise what they have found works for them. Each interview is broken down into ‘bite sized chunks’ to give the listener time to think about what has been said (and to make another cup of coffee!) before moving on.
Too many cooks....?
There are many contributors to the conversations and to all the other material on the site, and as you would expect there are discrepancies between their takes on how things are, and how it is possible to tap into the hidden rules of the universe to bring the things and circumstances we desire into our lives. This of course is as it should be. These people are not superhuman in any way, they are just individuals like you and me, who have discovered some of the less obvious workings of ‘reality’ and so have been able to tap into the abundance that is waiting for everyone. Most of the contributors live lives that anyone would envy (they ‘walk the talk’) but none of them would claim to be on first name terms with God or to be able to pronounce with certainty how 'life, the universe and everything' works.
I would have to say at this point that I personally am not comfortable with full-on ‘new age’ stuff, and when people abuse quantum theory to ‘explain’ manifestation or start talking about ‘thought vibration levels’, ‘wealth spheres’ and so on (as some contributors to Manifest Life do) this is red flag time for me. However I come from a science research background, and this kind of issue is often largely a matter of language rather than content. But regardless of your own background and philosophies, there are enough contributors to ensure that you find many whose philosophies and suggested techniques gel with you. In my case the rock-solid and genuinely enlightening contributions from Joe Vitale, Mike Dooley, Leslie Fieger and others completely overwhelmed any discomfort I may have felt listening to one or two of the other contributions (which is possibly just residual ‘ego’ resistance anyway).
The simple fact is that there is no one way to do things, no single ‘formula’ that will allow you to tap into abundance and transform your life. Rather, there are a number of small prompts and insights that add up to a change in viewpoint - an internal paradigm shift that will open the way for ‘miracles’ to come into your life, little by little. There are probably as many truths as there are people, and our purpose must be just to find the one that works in the real world (whatever that is!) for each of us as individuals.
This is in my opinion one of the main values of the ManifestLife web site (apart from the opportunity to download many times the 'entrance fee' in self help products!): By spending a little time each day, or whatever time you can find, wandering around this very large resource, it is possible to immerse yourself deeply in an environment in which everyone you 'meet' is on a common path.
You can read, watch of hear a ton or information on every aspect of the law of attraction and manifestation, and even participate in a forum wholly dedicated to this subject. You may come across individuals who seem to make 100% sense and so you can simply absorb everything they say, or more likely you may find something that resonates from many contributions - the bricks from which to construct your own truth - the interpretation which fits most closely YOUR personality and experience. But however you make use of the resources provided, the ‘total immersion’ experience provided by Manifest Life will automatically saturate you with the certainty that you are on the right path. The doubts which anyone who is not actually experiencing deliberate manifestation in their lives will have, will fade away in the face of such overwhelming testimony and evidence to the contrary.
It is all very well reading a bit of an ebook here, or catching a streamed video or MP3 download there, but the chances are that (if you are anything like me!) a day later you will have forgotten whatever you heard, saw or read, and a week later you will have mislaid the downloaded file, lost the streaming link URL or even forgotten that you have these resources on your PC! This approach is just too piecemeal to have any real effect.
By concentrating a huge volume of tightly-themed information and download links in one place, where you can revisit them at any time, ManifestLife becomes a powerful tool for turning vague beliefs into knowing certainty, and this is one of the most important hurdles anyone can overcome on the path to self realisation.
And from that point on, it is just a question of applying the manifestation techniques you have learned through the ‘Portal’ to step into a new life. This is one membership site I intend to spend a very great deal of time exploring, because I don’t want to miss a thing.”
Editor’s note: You can currently get a FREE 51-page e-book entitled “The Manifesting Mindset: Strategies for Deliberate Attraction” and a 10-part e-course on manifestation if you visit the web site (link below). You can also take a Video Tour of the portal web site without any obligation.
