As children, we have few limits on what we can imagine. We are literally at our most
creative during this period. But as older children and then as adults, this creativity is
progressively suppressed in favor of rote learning and conformity, and it often becomes more
and more difficult to think outside of the social norm, stiffling creativity almost
entirely.
The process of creativity is one of taking what you know, and 'rearranging the peices' to
crete something new - something that wasn't there before. It sounds simple, but in practice it
is made very difficult because of the way we have been taught to process information. This is
by 'categorization' - the process of deciding where each snippet of knowledge belongs and
'filing' it with other information already fitted into the appropriate category. So if we want
to solve a problem of a mechanical nature, we would not not normally thing of things we know
that we have categorized as 'biology' or 'sport' for instance. Yet this is exacly
what many naturally creative people - inventors, advertising 'creatives',
artists, researchers - say they do when they need to come up with something new.
Now, the CREATIVITY program takes you through a journey of exploration, while the
suggestions embedded using NLP language structure open your mind to new ways of thinking -
'whole' brain' thinking - that echoes the way you thought naturally as a child all those years
ago, but now armed with the trillions of items of information stored within a mature mind.
By processing information outside of the compartmentalization it has been forced into, your
mind will now process any problem to find a solution somewhere in your enormous 'data base' of
information no matter where it has been 'filed'. And in the same way you will now find that the
doors to your natural creativity have been opened wide, as the new way of 'childish'
thinking takes a hold, preventing the automatic filtering that kept your mind so
constrained before. Now you can break free of the fetters and begin to explore a new ability to
think and imagine in complete mental freedom.
