“Dr Amidi’s main claim is stated near the beginning of his 80-odd page e-book: "In this book I will present a proven system that will help you use the law of attraction in the most effective manner possible to manifest your desires effortlessly".
That is a pretty strong claim, but his background as a contributing and published researcher in the field of quantum mechanics gives it a weight that the many newly-converted web marketers making similar claims can’t aspire to.
But does the e-book live up to the claim, or should Dr Amidi have stuck to his day job?
The first section of the e-book is devoted to what you could call the ‘theory of manifesting’. This is something most LOA authors have a go at, in order to provide some credence to the suggestions they will make later about how to go about manifesting their desires. A whole range of supposed mechanisms are usually invoked at this point, usually involving ‘magnetism’, ‘vibrational levels’ and ‘resonance’, or other pseudoscientific nonsense very loosely based on holography or quantum physics.
However, rather surprisingly in view of his background, Dr Amidi does not invoke quantum physics as an ‘explanation’ of LOA, beyond pointing out that what we think of as ‘reality’ is nothing more than a model we each construct in our heads, and nothing is really as it appears to be. Instead he puts forward his ‘Trinity System’. This turns out to be basically the fairly well established ‘psychological’ model of mind consisting of conscious/ subconscious/ superconscious components, each of equal importance and having specific jobs to do. In his Trinity interpretation, the simplified ‘bottom line’ is that conscious mind communicates with the subconscious, which in turn passes on a world view to the superconscious, which then brings this personal view of reality into being through its connection with the Universal Mind.
He does not attempt a ‘scientific’ explanation, and as far as I am concerned, that is an immediate point in his favour. Unless other authors have a direct line to God/the Universe, or some other mysterious access to information that is simply not available to ordinary mortals, it is rather difficult to see how they have come into possession of their detailed knowledge of the ‘workings’ of LOA. But I digress - just a personal bit of soap-boxing!
The next sections of the e-book look at how all three of these parts of the mind must be in agreement for a thing to come about (such as a goal or desire to be actualised) and look at a range of factors such as fear, guilt and faulty programming of personal limitations that can prevent desired goals from manifesting. The author then looks at ways to relax into an alpha state in order to gain access to the subconscious mind, and how to use this state to discover exactly what false programming is hindering attempts to manifest new outcomes and desired objects. In particular he looks at how to deal with each specific problem as it is uncovered, in order to ‘clear the path to the higher self’ to allow manifestation to then occur freely and spontaneously without being blocked by buried opposing forces within the mind.
And in summary, the author describes in blow-by-blow detail exactly how to go about a powerful and effective ‘manifestation session’, having cleared the obstructions to its success using the methods he has outlined previously.
There are numerous books that deal with LOA and manifestation, but most seem to leave the reader hanging when it comes to explaining exactly how to apply their concepts. This is where Dr. Amidi's book is very strong - everything in the e-book actually leads up to the final, very detailed description of what to do to achieve success. I can highly recommend The Secret Beyond The Secret to anyone seeking to apply The Secret in their personal life, especially anyone who has tried visualisation or affirmation without too much success.
Judging by the huge numbers of testimonials on Dr Amidi’s web page, it seems that many others agree with this.”
